And yesterday I have finally booked a hotel in Helsinki. I will stay in a part of the city called Katajanokka, which is actually an island :)

Landmark of the district is the biggest in Europe Russian Orthodox Cathedral - Uspenski Cathedral. See the picture above, that was taken by me during my last stay in Helsinki in October 2010. I have not been close to it but this time I will inspect it in more details:)
The room I have booked is actually a studio apartment in Hellsten Hotel Senate. So I will feel like home :) With my own bed, kitchen and bathroom :) surrounded by Baltic Sea :)
I am so happy I am going to Finland and honestly I cannot wait:)

Hellsten, good choice :-)I worked for the company who previously owned Senate so I know the hotel very well :-) And yes it´s very nice area. / Sonja

ReplyDeleteThanks a lot... good to know that it is worthy to stay in there:) and it is so close to Kauppatori and Havis Amanda, perfect place to celebrate Vappu, isn't it ;) and the link to Suomelinna - which I want to visit this time:)
